29 Faces -- Last Day -- Seize the Day

I'm sorry to see the challenge end! It's been fun!

29 Faces -- 28 Days -- Angel Texture with Computer Paint

This was a canvas on which I put a lot of apoxie clay for texture. In real life it has too much random texture and I never was happy with the way it turned out. Last night I used "Paint" on my computer to add color to make it pop a little. I like it a little better but the face has been changed and changed again on the actual canvas so I just gave up with that part. Anybody know how I can get rid of the spackling compound, I really hate it and can't work around it in it's present state? This is just a virtual face--doesn't really exist in real life.

29 Faces -- Day 25 -- Two Faced

In an effort to supply a little humor on my page, I just want you to know this is a literal interpretation and not the sneaky-pie other interpretation, which I am not fond of finding in anyone including myself! To thine own self be true and that goes for being true to everybody else as well. As I look at this, one could also say, put your best face forward, or simply face forward, or face it, or face your fears, or what is that growth coming out of my forehead? Or, Aliens inside us....gosh there's a lot in this one that never occurred to me when I created it. Any psychologists in the challenge?

29 Faces -- Day 24 - Bird Lady of Bimini

This one has evolved and changed over time.  It started as a collage of some of my pieces on a wood square. Then I added more painted elements and glitter (you can't see it in this print). Then again tonight I added some more touches here and there. I have other prints incorporating the bird and the head (separate pieces).

29 Faces -- Day 23 - More Magic

While the World is Full of Magic,
There's Always Room for More Magic!

29 Faces --Day 22 -- Shaman

Started this two days ago starting with the face, then added the serpenty wings and it evolved into a joyous shaman in an ecstatic healing state, perhaps experiencing a connection with the divine.

29 Faces -- Day 20 - And Now for Something Different: Tribal Kings

This is an older work in a primitive style with faces. It's a mixed media on a wood plank. I was making it to fit as an Etsy banner for one of my shops.

29 Faces -- Day 19 - White Hair, Green Dress

Today's face is more modern. I've finally left the Victorian ladies to their own century.

29 Faces -- Day 13 - Presenting Empress Gerta Gourd

Never before published...'cause I took the picture last night of Empress Gerta Gourd I of Vineland (I'm currently reading Catherine the Great's biography by Robert K. Massie and loving it, hence the imagined pomp and circumstance for my gourd). Instead of scrubbing off the naturally occurring design on the drying gourd body, I left it because I found it kind of beautiful. I worked with enhancing it with  paints and pen. Her majesty is resting against a soft pillow in her boudoir...one must have an imagination about these things! Or else I'm just nuts!!

29 Faces - Day 12 -- Mandala Cat

I watched the Grammies tonight, so I pulled something out that I'd never photographed before--one of my wooden cats. Originally there were 100--each one totally different--only the shape remained the same. I've kept my favorites.

29 Faces - Day 10 - Cat Magic

I promised to deliver a cat today because someone drew a beautiful dog yesterday...and cats need their day in the sun too.... boy, do they need their days in the sun!! I was playing a fun cliche game last night (everyone had to contribute to the conversation by speaking only in cliches) which seems to have carried over into today's writing...please forgive!

29 Faces -- Day 9 -- Infamous Reality Celebri-NOT -- Can You Guess Who?

This may be TV day. Can you guess who this person is? If you watch Bravo, you might be able to tell who it is. She's not one of my favorite characters. She made a lot of noise this season. Her implants are not where they look like they may be located...Finally, I don't think I believe all of her stories even though she did meet with a real tragedy this season. I'm not cold and unfeeling, I assure you, it's just that in her case she makes a career of victimization. (I cheated...cause I drew this last year around this time.)... (I woke up late--took inspiration for a TV character from the Progressive Flo drawing I just admired by April, which, by the way, there is no doubt about the likeness on that one...this one is a little more questionable.) Just having a little fun!

29 Faces -- Day 8 - Beautiful Girl Pencil Sketch

There is no story to go with the picture today. I just chose a picture of a pretty girl to draw. I was looking for inspiration but nothing spoke to me today other than the picture I searched for. Fun to do anyway! I love this challenge which makes me deliver something each day! Thanks for this idea generator!

Day 7 -- 29 Faces --Have A Happy Daisy Day

I let the day's events dictate the drawing for today. I was driving (as luck would have it) to the art supply store to pick up a spritzer (for water or paint [not drinks] never tried one before but saw this amazing Dylusion demo on one of my FB friend's page and I wanted one [$5 for 3--haven't tested it yet]). While cruising through the parking lot I was behind a car that had a big daisy on the back with some kind of peppy saying and that was my prompt for today--I knew I had to make a daisy. This, of course, is not  how I thought it would turn out exactly but I've never let that stop me before! It's like writing a novel  without an outline--the ending is  a complete surprise! Hope it makes you happy! Later in that same parking lot I almost literally bumped into a friend (with my car) I hadn't seen in a long time. See, thinking those positive thoughts possibly averts messy crashes while finding old friends whose days you could have ruined if you hadn't--or something like that! ;)

29 Faces -Day 6 - Metamorphosis

I never know where the drawing will come from each day--whatever materials are handy--in this case a white index card and a butterfly shape--the observer watches the butterfly take flight and in the observing becomes one with its essence and beauty.

Day 5 - 29 Faces: The Face in Color and Shades of Gray

Compare and Contrast. In this case I like the gray rather than the color since it hides many of my goofs! Hey, wait a minute, I'm contraverting some advice I gave out earlier today! My goofs were intentional. haha. Actually, I couldn't scratch out or cover up what appeared to be brusing but was there because I had accidentally dipped my hand in the blue and carried it forward to the skin tones.

Day 4--29 Faces: The Great Grey Owl Goddess

Did I really do this to the great gray owl? Well, at least she's been made a goddess. If it's a male, whoah is me!

29 Faces--Late to a Very Important Date

I'm sorry I'm cheating because I'm late. I will stay on target as we progress (I hope!) The lady with green hair was created on the cusp of this event so it is only a half cheat--the other two were created in 2011. I have loved looking at the creations so far and I so admire the diverse talent out there. Kudos (in my humble opinion) to everyone! This will be so much fun and to do it every single day will be a great and good challenge!
